PETERBOROUGH are thrilled to have completed a short-term swoop for Danish star Michael Palm-Toft.

The 24 year-old has been snapped up as a replacement for injury victim Adam Roynon and will make his Readypower Panthers debut when they entertain Somerset Rebels in a Premier League Cup clash at the East of England Showground on Sunday (March 22).

Palm Toft arrives for a minimum 28-day stay on a 4.92 average and promoter Ged Rathbone is delighted with the capture of the Scunthorpe asset who has plenty of past Premier League experience.

Rathbone said: “We have done our homework and received nothing but good reports about Michael.

“This is a calculated move on our part and hopefully our fans will be excited by the signing.

“We’re thankful to Michael for needing no persuasion to come in at such short notice.

“I must also place on record my thanks to Scunthorpe promoter Rob Godfrey for allowing us to do a deal with Michael.”

Palm Toft rode for the Scorpions in three successive seasons from 2011 to 2013. He also had a short stint Plymouth in the last of those years.

Palm Toft moved into the top-flight with Belle Vue last year where he performed solidly in a main- body berth for the Aces.
