HELP SUPPORT THE SPEEDWAY TEAM & SUPPORTERS CLUB
We have had questions asked recently about what do the members get from joining the supporters club. First of all the idea of joining the club is to help the Peterborough Speedway club in any way possible but predominantly to raise funds to help the club in general. So what benefit do the supporters club members get? On any of the PPSSC club events, the members always get a reduction on entry fees. You would also be entered every other month into a special draw for a cash prize for CLUB MEMBERS ONLY.
WHAT HAVE WE DONE SO FAR?
Since the club was formed we have supported the management and riders in many ways including helping riders with vouchers for machine spares, tyres for the junior squad Jackets and tee shirts for the riders and helping with costs for the end of season parties. This season we are currently trying to raise £3,000 to purchase the track grader from Oxford speedway and have already paid half of that amount. We have also recently pledged £300 to the fund for Ryan Fisher to help get his family over to Poland.
WHAT DO WE DO TO RAISE MONEY?
Most of our income is sourced by the 50-50 draw held at each home meeting. We also arrange regular quiz nights and snail, horse or greyhound race nights. We also have bi-monthly draws for tee shirts, jackets, fleece jackets and body warmers for which tickets are available at the PPSSC hut situated between the grandstand and bar. We are also currently looking for extra volunteers to help sell the 50-50 tickets and anyone interested can get further information from the hut or any committee member. We are also looking for new ventures and ideas to raise capital and any ideas are always welcome and looked into.
