HARRIS' HECTIC SPELL

Wednesday June 14, 2020
PETERBOROUGH number one Chris Harris faces a demanding run of five meetings in as many days.

The 'T Balfe Construction' Panthers man's hectic schedule begins tomorrow (Thursday) when he lines up in a World Championship semi-final qualifier in Germany.

Harris goes in search of a top-seven finish at Olching before turning his attention to the second round of the World Long Track Championship in France on Saturday.

Harris will also fit in Peterborough fixtures on Friday and Sunday before bidding for a fourth British Final success at the National Speedway Stadium on Monday.

"I'm feeling good and my bikes are working well," said Harris. "I always like to be busy and I'm looking forward to the meetings I have coming up.

"Hopefully I can get off to a good start in the GP qualifier, have a good Long Track round and a couple of decent meetings for Panthers ahead of the British Final.

"It would be a great honour to be British champion again, especially as it is 10 years since I won it for the first time."

Peterborough have two representatives in the British Final with Paul Starke also featuring in the field.

Starke has been snapped up by SGB Premiership side Poole this week, but Peterborough will have priority over his services in the event of fixtures clashes.
