PROMOTER Ged Rathbone has called on the Peterborough public to roar the 'T Balfe Construction' Panthers to honours today.

Hosts Peterborough face semi-final victors Workington, Plymouth and Berwick in the final of the huge Premier League Fours extravaganza at the East of England Showground (4pm).

And Rathbone is keen to add an off-track edge in terms of support to a home-shale advantage for his quartet of Craig Cook, Ulrich Ostergaard, Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen and Tom Perry.

Rathbone said: "The opening day of the Fours weekend was absolutely fantastic . . . but I'm convinced that today will be even better.

"Our boys can't wait to get involved and they are determined to rule supreme on their own track.

"They want to be the team lifting the trophy this evening and that would be the perfect end to a great event for us.

"And hopefully plenty of Peterborough people, who might have given the semis a miss yesterday as we weren't competing, will get down to the Showground and cheer our lads on."

The shoot-out for Fours glory is preceded by a mouth-watering 18-man individual meeting at noon which features two riders from each of the teams eliminated at the semi-final stage yesterday.

Admission is £20 for adults and £7.50 for children aged between 12 and 16. Kids under the age of 12 gain free entry.
