PETERBOROUGH are delighted to welcome Carl Johnson back into their management team tonight.

Johnson stood down as 'T Balfe Construction' Panthers team boss in the early weeks of the current season due to a combination of work and family commitments.

But he is now able to return and will work alongside team manager Jason Attwood, starting when Peterborough host Berwick in a must-win fixture at the East of England Showground (7.30pm).

"It is very pleasing to have Carl back on board," said promoter Ged Rathbone.

"It was a blow to lose him earlier in the season, but we ensured the door stayed open.

"He is now in a position to return and I'm sure he will work very well with Jason - just as he did with Dale Allitt last season.

"We're going through a difficult spell at the moment and hopefully Carl being back will give everyone a boost."

Peterborough sit fourth in the Premier League standings and could climb into second spot with a victory tonight.
