There’s a Peterborough racenight with a difference next Friday (June 3).

It will be horses, rather than bikes, taking centre-stage at the latest Peterborough Panthers Speedway Supporters’ Club (PPSSC) social event.

The ‘Ged’s Gee Gees’ bash at the Post Office Club, on Bourges Boulevard, gets underway at 7.30pm and tickets must be bought in advance.

They cost £4 for PPSSC members, £5 for non-members and £2 for Under 16s, and include a baked potato supper.

Tickets can be purchased by emailing ppssc2016@yahoo.com or by visiting the PPSSC hut at the East of England Showground during the Bank Holiday Monday meeting against Ipswich.
