PETERBOROUGH have issued an open invitation for supporters to attend their Press & Practice Day for free.

The T Balfe Construction Panthers will be officially unveiled from 12.30pm onwards at the East of England Showground on Friday.

A session of interviews and photographs with official media representatives will then follow before the riders take to the Alwalton track for some laps at around 1.45pm.

Promoter Ged Rathbone said: "We are all one big team at Peterborough - riders, management and supporters - and hopefully we can all start the 2016 season together.

"I hope to see as many fans as possible present on Friday."

The riders are likely to remain on track until 3.30pm when the event will come to a close.

It is followed by a pre-season social bash, organised by the Peterborough Panthers Speedway Supporters Club (PPSSC), in the evening.

There are less than 30 tickets still remaining for the bash at the Post Club on Bourges Boulevard (7.30pm start).

They are available at £6 for non-members, £5 for members and £2 for Under 16s, which includes a buffet.
