JOINT Peterborough team manager Carl Johnson made a guest appearance of his own last Saturday night.

Johnson was the special guest of the Southern Track Riders for their annual presentation evening at The Cresset in Peterborough.

Johnson, who has previously ridden in STR competition, handed out the prizes for the 2015 season.

He said: "It was a privilege to go along as special guest and present the awards.

"I've been part of the STR myself and it is a terrific organisation which offers people of all ages and abilities the chance to race."

Current Elite League riders Lewis Blackbird and Lewis Kerr progressed through the STR.

It caters for adult riders of all abilities while also offering youth classes at 125cc, 250cc and 500cc levels.
