PETERBOROUGH captain Ulrich Ostergaard hopes to add another major honour to his collection tomorrow.

The ‘T Balfe Construction’ Panthers star has been an individual and Fours champion at SGB Championship level.

He won the Premier League Riders’ Championship (as it was then known) back in 2015 and was part of the club’s triumphant Fours quartet earlier this year.

Now his sights are set on capturing the Pairs crown when representing the club along with Chris Harris – another of the club’s Fours heroes - at Sheffield tomorrow (Sunday, 3pm).

“It’s always a huge honour to race for Peterborough in big meetings,” said Ostergaard. “I’ve been lucky enough to win the riders’ championship and the Fours so it would be great to add the Pairs to them.

“Sheffield is a track I enjoy racing at and I have some happy memories of winning the PLRC there. It was one of the best moments of my career and being part of the winning Fours team this summer was another of them.

“The Pairs is always very tough because there are so many top riders, but myself and Chris believe we have a decent chance.. The main thing is to ensure we don’t pick up last places.”

Peterborough feature in Group A along with Glasgow, Ipswich, Workington and Scunthorpe.
