PETERBOROUGH are preparing for a stern Sunday test as they bid to continue their SGB Championship winning streak.

The ‘T Balfe Construction’ Panthers entertain Edinburgh at the East of England Arena (5pm) - and team boss Carl Johnson believes it has the makings of a mouth-watering clash.

"A lot of people tipped Edinburgh to struggle, but they've done very well," said Johnson. "They were top of the table for a long time and reached the play-offs.

"They have guys in Sam Masters and Ricky Wells who are always terrific at our place and we'll certainly need to be at our best to keep our good run going."

Peterborough are again without number one Jack Holder as he is required to ride for Polish club Torun in a relegation/promotion play-off meeting.

That fixture was arranged ahead of Panthers’ own clash and takes priority under International Speedway League Bureau rules.

However, Peterborough do not qualify for a facility and have drafted in National League rider Joe Lawlor as a guest.

Edinburgh also have a man missing due to Polish commitments. Erik Riss is in action in Eastern Europe so Luke Harris steps in.

PETERBOROUGH: Tom Bacon (or guest if not fit), Chris Harris, Simon Lambert, Joe Lawlor (guest), Ulrich Ostergaard, Paul Starke, Bradley Wilson-Dean.

EDINBURGH: Max Clegg, Mitchell Davey, Luke Harris (guest), Sam Masters, Josh Pickering, Mark Riss, Ricky Wells.
