PETERBOROUGH are giving fans the chance to be part of the action on Sunday at the SGB Championship Fours.

The annual extravaganza takes place at the East of England Arena on Sunday (2pm) and is expected to attract a bumper crowd.

Ahead of racing, representatives of each of the 10 participating clubs will randomly select a supporter from the crowd to join their team on parade.

The lucky fans will also get to watch two races from the centre green and experience the sport from a new perspective at arguably the most exciting track in the country.

"Speedway is nothing without the supporters," said Peterborough promoter Ged Rathbone. "This is our way of showing our appreciation to some of the fans who will be travelling from across the UK to watch the SGB Championship Fours."

Peterborough are also running competition on their official Facebook page - Peterborough Speedway Panthers - to select the music used during the parade ahead of each semi-final and final.

Fans can enter simply by placing a comment under the competition listing, stating their choice of music and the club they support.

The winner, to be chosen by Peterborough skipper Ulrich Ostergaard, will also get the chance to watch two races from the centre green.

Ticket prices for the SGB Championship Fours have been set at £20 for adults, £15 for concessions and £5 for children aged five to 15. Under 5s receive free entry.

Gates open at the East of England Arena at 12.30pm.
