RETURNING Peterborough rider Simon Lambert has issued a public thank-you to fans.

A collection for the injured racer was held during the 'T Balfe Construction' Panthers' recent East Anglian derby success against Ipswich.

And it raised £350 that Lambert has been able to put towards the repair of machinery damaged in the June crash in which he suffered a badly broken wrist.

"I can't thank the supporters enough for giving so generously," said Lambert. "I had a big repair bill as well as the injury to worry about after the crash.

"The money from the collection was a fantastic help."

Lambert is in line to make his Peterborough return when they host Redcar on Sunday (5pm).
