SIMON SAYS SORRY

Sunday April 16, 2017
PETERBOROUGH rider Simon Lambert has issued a public apology for his performance last night.

Lambert failed to score from five rides as the 'T Balfe Construction' Panthers were beaten 60-32 at Ipswich.

But the 28 year-old hopes to be back among the points when Peterborough entertain the Witches in a return SGB Championship clash at the East of England Showground on Easter Monday, 3pm.

He said: "First and foremost, I would like to apologise to the management, my team-mates and the supporters.

"My performance wasn't acceptable and is not one I'm proud about.

"I haven't had the best of starts to the season after coming back from injury.

"I've taken a few knocks and also had some niggling bike issues, but I'm working hard behind the scenes.

"Ipswich isn't a track I like, but that's no excuse and hopefully I can resume normal service tomorrow at the Showground."

Lambert, who staged a testimonial last month, scored paid 10 to help Peterborough beat Redcar in their last home meeting.
